Looking for Kid's Summer Activities Vendors
The Stillwater PTSA is hosting a "Kid's Summer Activities Fair" on March 7th from 6:30-8pm in our Stillwater Elementary School Gym.
We would like to invite you to attend as a vendor and share your summer activities, day or overnight camps and youth organizations. We are looking for anything local that would provide summer fun and activity for our valley children.
Who will attend: Parents attending our Stillwater PTSA General Meeting will have a special preview from 6:30pm-6:45pm on March 7th. Then, all Stilllwater Elementary School families will be invited to join at 6:45 until 8pm. Stillwater Elementary has over 350 families, and they will receive six forms of communication about this event prior to March 7th. Just the mention of the idea has our parents excited to attend. We hope that you will choose to be a vendor at this fair.
The deadline for registration is February 17th, via email to Laura Tisdale at lauratisdale@hotmail.com.
Please let me know:
1) Name of your company and what kind of activity you can offer kids, cost, and when activities are available.
2) All contact information, including representatives who will attend, phone number, and email addresses.
3) If you can offer us a door prize. Names will be drawn every 15 minutes from 6:30-8pm. Certificates, deep discounts, and even Girl Scout Cookies are great!
Extreme Staffroom Makeover
As we flip the calendar to February, let's show the incredible staff at Stillwater a little extra love! We are hoping to provide a much needed makeover to the staffroom. To do this, we need donations and volunteers.
We are hoping to buy a complete set of dishes, silverware, mugs, as well as paint, updated artwork and possibly furniture. Donations can be made by check and dropped off in the main office. Please indicate on the memo line: Teacher's Lounge. Donations are due by February 28th. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Chrissy Griffin at ces.griffin@frontier.com or (425)788-9745.

Congratulations Science Docent Team!
Just a few weeks ago, we received a Washington State PTSA Applegate Grant in the amount of $500. Now, we have been awarded a Riverview Education Foundation Grant, in the amount of $2757.64. We need help decorating the room with all the fun equipment we will be able to buy. First on the list: Lab coats and goggles! Second: What science lab is complete without one of those manikins that you can take the internal organs out of? Third: You'll have to come see...(Cue mysterious mad scientist laughter). Let's have a room organization party when the equipment arrives. Even if you have not been a part of the Science Docent team yet, you are welcome to join at any time. We need you! For further information, please contact Pamela Parks at pamela@studio-nemo.com or (425)844-9471 or Christine Hillestad at volleyball_247@yahoo.com.
Student Directories Are Here!
The 2011/2012 Student Directories are still available for $5 per copy. These beautiful, color directories also include many coupons for local businesses. Please contact Julie Logan at juliemlo@hotmail.com.
PTSA Volunteer Opportunities
We are currently in need of a Co-Enrichment Chair. This position is behind the scenes and does not require the person to be at school during the after school enrichment classes.

Kenpo Korrection
There is a typo in the dates for the Kenpo class. The correct dates are Thursdays, February 2, 9, 16, 23, and March 8. Eric Kitching, AKA "Little Bear," is a fabulous teacher who goes beyond self-defense basics in order to teach the kids how to use their intuition and wits to avoid dangerous situations in the first place. This is a great class!
Attention IGA Shoppers!
Spread the word to your friends and neighbors to save their Carnation Market IGA receipts! Stillwater will now be receiving a 1% donation from all the receipts we turn in. Thank you for your support..."Every Penny Counts!" is our motto!

Art Docent Volunteers Needed!
Art Docents volunteer once a month teaching a prepared art lesson. It is a lot of fun and a great way to learn and have fun with your child. If you are interested in being an Art Docent in your child's class or are available to help prepare art lessons, please contact Courtney Peters at courtneypeters@frontier.com.
