May 2017 Featured Volunteer of the Month: Felicia Berg!

Congratulations to our May PTSA Featured Volunteer of the Month, Felicia Berg.  Felicia was nominated by Lindsey Tolson and Jenn Anderson and voted on by the Executive Board.

Here are a few things that Lindsey and Jenn had to say about Felicia:

“Felicia is our communication co-chair this year and has taken on the very taxing role of poster, kid-mail and reader board lead. With SOOOO many events and activities across all the different chairs this year, she is ALWAYS busy. There are often times when she is asked to put something together last minute and she not only obliges but with a smile on her face. Felicia has also volunteered for almost every event we’ve had this year. She is always willing to jump in and help out whoever and however. She has an amazing attitude and is a delight to work with, a true asset to Stillwater and the PTSA. Not to mention she spoils us all at general membership meetings with the tastiest cinnamon rolls ever! Thanks Felicia for all your hard work this year supporting Stillwater and the PTSA.”

“Felicia is one of our PTSA Co-Communications Board Member. She helps oversee kid mail, the reader board and posters/signs for all of our PTSA events.
Besides her role on the PTSA board she also volunteers for all of our events. If you go to any PTSA event you most likely will see Felicia helping in some role. She is a hard worker and is willing to jump in where needed. She is a very sweet person and is always so kind.
After watching her at Pottery Night, I really feel she has earned a “Volunteer of the Month” nomination.”

Felicia and her husband have one son at Stillwater; Xander is 7 years old and is in first grade. Felicia has spent the last two years volunteering at Stillwater. She really enjoys volunteering for all of the PTSA events but her favorite event this year has been pottery paint night. Felicia has been volunteering since she was 7 years old.  Her parents belonged to several organizations and she would help them volunteer.  One of her favorite programs was at her high school where they taught all ages to read through a program called Read Right.

When Felicia is not volunteering at Stillwater, she loves to craft.  She says, “quilting is my favorite craft but I also enjoy scrapbooking and card making.”  Her latest obsession has been using her Cricut.  You have probably seen several of her Cricut pieces on our sandwich board signs.

Felicia enjoys baking and has provided many treats to staff and to our PTSA General and Board meetings.  One of her favorite baked goods to eat are Cherry Chip cupcakes.

Thank you Felicia, for all the things you have done for Stillwater and the PTSA. When you see Felicia putting out signs/posters or changing the reader board at the school, make sure to congratulate her and thank her for all she does for Stillwater Elementary.
