The Faces Behind Your Stillwater PTSA: Meet the 2026-2027 Board

Meet the 2026-2027 Stillwater PTSA Board!

We are so excited to kick off a new school year at Stillwater, and we want to introduce you to the people behind your PTSA! This year’s board is a mix of returning veterans and fresh faces, all united by one thing: a love for this incredible school community. Get to know us below, and don’t forget to check out our fun infographics for even more about each board member!

Lindsey Tolson, President

Hi, Stillwater families! Lindsey is somewhere around her 12th year as a Stillwater parent and is thrilled to be back on the PTSA Board after a brief “retirement.” She spent her first seven years at Stillwater heavily involved in the PTSA, serving at various times as Treasurer, VP, President, and Fundraising Chair. By day, Lindsey is a Learning & Development Manager for a transportation organization at Amazon. When she’s not volunteering, you’ll probably find her at a CHS football game on Friday nights in the fall. Fun facts: she’s originally from Alaska, and she really, really hates pickles. Lindsey is passionate about supporting Stillwater and would love for you to join her. There are still several important PTSA positions that need to be filled this year! president@stillwaterptsa.org

Monique Linz, Vice President

Monique lives in Carnation with her husband and five kids, ranging from a kindergartener all the way up to two juniors in high school. This is her 11th year on a PTSA board! She started as a Fundraising Chair and has held a variety of roles since. In addition to serving as Stillwater’s Vice President, Monique is also the Treasurer for the Toll Middle School PTSA Board and volunteers at CHS. Being part of her children’s schools has always been a passion of hers, and she loves seeing everything that happens behind the scenes and helping build a strong, supportive school community. vicepresident@stillwaterptsa.org

Heidi Huibregtse, Treasurer

Heidi is in her third year on the PTSA Board, all three as Treasurer! She lives in Duvall with her husband Landyn (who also works at Stillwater) and their son, who is in 4th grade. Their household pets include one betta fish, one mystery snail, and eight shrimp. Heidi joined the PTSA to feel more connected to the school and give back, and she loves supporting teachers and enabling extra programs and experiences for students. When she’s not crunching numbers behind the scenes, you’ll find her doing pilates, enjoying the outdoors, traveling, reading, or tackling a jigsaw puzzle. She also gardens every year, with varying degrees of success! Heidi encourages everyone to get involved with the PTSA, whether you prefer to be front and center or behind the scenes. tres@stillwaterptsa.org

Matthew Hayward, Advocacy Lead & Secretary

Matthew is a 4-year veteran of Stillwater Elementary. He and his wife moved to the Duvall area in 2017 to live on property for their dogs, and they now have two kids, one in 4th grade and one in 1st grade. This is Matthew’s first year as a PTSA board member, but he’s no stranger to involvement. He’s volunteered for the PTSA, been a regular at general membership meetings, and served on a variety of committees, including the Riverview Schools Committee. He’s even attended school board meetings! By day, Matthew works at Microsoft in the XBOX organization, and by night he’s a self-described “typical Millennial nerd dad” helping his kids with video games, after homework, of course. He’s also a second-generation Oregon State University alumnus and 1/4 Greek on his father’s side. secretary@stillwaterptsa.org

Leia Deak, Communications Chair

Leia and her husband Alex live outside of Duvall with their two kids in grades 3 and 5 at Stillwater. Originally from a small town in Eastern Oklahoma, they moved to the area in 2018 in search of community and open space. Leia is a full-time high school educator in a neighboring school district, and joining the PTSA helps her stay connected to the Stillwater community. As Communications Chair, her goal is to share important information, highlight the amazing things happening in our school community, and help families feel connected throughout the year. Fun fact: she was named after Princess Leia from Star Wars. Her parents went to the movie theater twice to make sure they spelled it right! Leia is excited to be part of the PTSA and looks forward to working together to support our students, staff, and families. communication@stillwaterptsa.org

Open Position: Membership Chair, This Could Be You!

We still have one very important seat to fill on our board: Membership Chair! This role is all about encouraging families to join the PTSA, welcoming new members, and fostering connection within our school community. No prior PTA or PTSA experience is required, just enthusiasm, a willingness to help, and the ability to send a casual email or two. Perks include meeting wonderful families, supporting students and staff, and earning the unofficial title of “the person who knows what’s going on.” If you’re interested in the Membership Chair role or any other open volunteer positions, we’d love to hear from you! Please reach out to us at president@stillwaterptsa.org(opens in new tab).

We are so grateful for this team and for every family that supports Stillwater. Whether you volunteer a little or a lot, attend events, or simply join as a PTSA member, you make a difference. Here’s to a wonderful 2026-2027 school year, together! 💙
