April 2018 Featured Volunteer of the Month: Shannon Bennett
Congratulations to our April Featured Volunteer of the Month Shannon Bennett!
Shannon Bennett was nominated by Jen Bauer and voted on by the Executive PTSA board as our April Featured
Volunteer of the Month!
Shannon and her husband have 2 children; Rory, age 7, 1st grade and Ryder, age 5, Pre-K at Carnation Elementary Developmental Preschool. Shannon started volunteering with the PTSA when Rory began Kindergarten last year. Her favorite things to volunteer for are the Hawk Walk and bake sales – and doing things behind the scenes, like the reader board or providing food for staff.
The Bennett family loves playing outside – Hiking, biking, camping, skiing, and gardening!
When Shannon is not volunteering she likes to grow things in her garden, quilt, make vinyl signs, and chill on the couch for a few minutes. Shannon currently is the Coordinator for our local Duvall MOPS group and has been working on starting a small at-home business creating vinyl gifts and making quilts. One of her favorite treats is Reese’s Miniature Peanut Butter Cups. Shannon wants to let our community know that she loves, loves, loves our school and everyone she has met so far. She looks forward to volunteering for the next 6 years! ?
Thank you, Shannon, for all the things you have done for Stillwater and the PTSA. When you see Shannon at our next event, make sure to congratulate her and thank her for all she does for Stillwater Elementary.
Here is what Jen Bauer had to say when nominating Shannon:
Shannon has volunteered at most – if not all – of the PTSA events we’ve had since I picked up the position as Social/FACE Chair. She is always there with a smile on her face and jumps right in to her volunteer role. She has become someone I can count on each event to take ownership of her position and work flawlessly. I hope this nomination displays my utmost thanks for all her hard work over the past several months. She rocks! 🙂
