Enjoy a grilled hamburger, hot dog or gardenburger, served with beans, chips, treat and beverage.

Prepaid Meal Package $5.00 (Must Order by September 10 – ONLINE or SEND IN)
Please note that we cannot guaranty you a meal if you do not order in advance.
At Door Meal Package $7.00 
(A limited number will be available. First come, first serve.)
Raffle Tickets $1.00 each (at the door)

CHILI CONTEST

The Chili Contest is an element of the Stillwater Elementary PTSA Back to School BBQ to be held on Friday, September 12, 2014.  Top 3 winners will earn a party for their children’s classrooms, a certificate and a “Chili Champion“ apron.

CONTEST RULES:

  1. All entries must be made and completely cooked prior to being brought to the contest. No more than 2 entries per contestant will be accepted.
  2.  Bring your entry hot in a pan. Warming trays will be provided to keep entries warm.
  3. Bring only 2 cups of each chili entry.
  4. Contestants must sign their entry in at the designated table in the Stillwater gym between 5:45 and 6:15 p.m. on the day of the contest. No entries will be accepted after 6:15 p.m.
  5. All entries must include an index card with the following information. * Creative chili name * Type of chili – beef, chicken, turkey, pork, meatless * Degree of spiciness – mild, medium, hot, very hot * List of ingredients (recipe is not necessary)

DO NOT include any identifying information. Entries will be given a number. Judging will start at 6:40 p.m. Judges will be Stillwater staff members.

DONATIONS NEEDED

Each class will provide a themed basket for the Back to School BBQ Raffle.  Please send your basket donation to your child’s classroom by Wednesday, September 10th.  The class with the highest raffle proceeds will earn an ice cream party.  100% of raffle proceeds go to support Stillwater PTSA programs.

CLASSROOM THEMES

Please note: All movies, books, music, etc. should be kid appropriate. The following items are NOT allowed on school grounds and cannot be put in raffle baskets: guns (including wood, plastic, metal, nerf, cap, squirt, laser, rubber band, marshmallow, etc.); other weapons, including toy weapons, that may cause injury; beverages containing alcohol; merchandise referencing alcohol, drugs, weapons, inappropriate language.

Kindergarten – “Kids in the Kitchen” Suggestions: baking & cooking mixes; measuring cups and spoons; mixing bowls; kids’ cookbooks; apron; baking pans; spatula; wooden spoons; small cutting board; cookie cutters; cheese grater; cupcake cups; cake decorating book and supplies; kitchen towels; potholders

First Grade – “Build It” Suggestions:  Lego set, Lincoln logs, K-Nex, erector set, wood blocks, Tinker Toys, model car kit, model rocket,  model robot, build-your-own science project kit, kids’ DIY craft book/supplies.

Second Grade – “12th Man Mania” Suggestions:  Anything Seahawks!   Game tickets, clothing (male or female), hats, socks, football, flags, toys,  cups/mugs, football partyware, blue & green party decorations, tailgate snacks, blanket, pillow, tote bag, backpack, pennants, posters.

Third Grade – “Backyard Camping” Suggestions:  Tent, sleeping bag, backpack, camp chairs, flashlights, camping dishes, thermos, radio, batteries,  air mattress, small cooler, card games, survival or spooky stories books, snacks/drinks, weenie/marshmallow   roasting sticks.

Fourth Grade – “Tool Box” Suggestions:  Tool box, tool belt, hammer, screw drivers, saw, pliers, vice grips, wrenches, drill, socket set, work  gloves, safety goggles, gift certificate to a home improvement store, DIY books and kits.

Fifth Grade – “Huskies vs. Cougars” (each class will choose which team it supports) Suggestions:  School logo clothing, socks, hats, blankets, toys, mugs, pencils/pens/notebooks, bumper   stickers, flags, pom-poms, key chain, license plate frames, food items.
