February 2018 Featured Volunteer of the Month: Jen Bauer
Congratulations to our February Featured Volunteer of the Month Jen Bauer!
Jen Bauer was nominated by Jenn Anderson, Shelly Campbell, and Lindsey Tolson and voted on by the Executive PTSA board as our February Featured Volunteer of the Month.
Jen and her husband Ben have 2 kids, a 4th grade daughter named Nia and a Kindergarten son named Brighton. Their family is new to Stillwater and she has been volunteering with our PTSA for about 5 months. The Bauer family likes to play board games and go on adventures. Jen says long road trips are the best!
In Jen’s spare time she enjoys sewing, crocheting, and building things. She is busy finishing up her degree in elementary education and she also volunteers with organizations like Congregations for the Homeless. When asked what Jen’s favorite event is to volunteer for she says every event she volunteers at keeps setting the “fun” bar higher and higher. She can’t pick a favorite!
Thank you, Jen, for all the things you have done for Stillwater and the PTSA. When you see Jen at our next event, make sure to congratulate her and thank her for all she does for Stillwater Elementary.
Here is what the ladies had to say when nominating Jen:
Jenn: Jen Bauer stepped in to fill the open Social/FACE chair back in November. Since then she has helped to facilitate open basketball nights, winter wonderland craft night, Dads and Donuts and Valentines Bingo. She is a great asset to the PTSA. She is very detailed oriented, reliable and a great planner. Jen is going to school to become a teacher but still makes time to volunteer her time to help make the PTSA social and face events successful. I have really enjoyed working with her over the past few months. She has a great attitude and always ready to jump in and help. Shelly: Jen stepped into the Social & FACE chair back in November and has done a phenomenal job with helping to lead craft night, many FACE events, bingo night and being on our leadership team! She has jumped in feet first and loves to help wherever she can! She has been a HUGE asset to our PTSA team and we are thankful for her! Lindsey: Jen is our FACE/Social chair and she helped oversee both Dad’s and Donuts and Bingo. Jen came into the role when we needed someone the most and has done a wonderful job. Thank you, Jen, for your leadership!
