Prizes!!!!

  1. Every classroom has been assigned a class goal based off of the number of kids in each class. (see here for goals) Every class that reaches their goal (by May 18th – no extensions) will earn a SNOW CONE PARTY! Yum! *Please note that special consideration will be made for those all-star students that go above and beyond but the class does not reach the goal.
  2. The top earners in each grade will earn an invitation to a pizza lunch with Mr. Madigan!!
  3. Every student that raises $30 or more, which is the suggested minimum, will be entered into a drawing on Wednesday, May 25th to win some great prizes! Including a ticket to the pizza lunch with Mr. Madigan, Slip-in Slides, Pillow Pets and more!
  4. And last but certainly not least…IF the school hits the $10,000 goal, Mr. Madigan will be playing EGG HEAD** at a spirit assembly on May 25th with a few students/staff that enter for a chance to face him and the eggs! Students and staff will have from May 19th – May 23rd to enter their name (with a completed permission slip) for a chance to play Egg Head with Mr. Madigan. The Egg Head contestants will be randomly selected from the entrants and announced on May 24th.
**Egg Head is a game where each contestant takes turns selecting an egg from a carton of 12: some are hard boiled and some are raw. Once the egg is selected, the contestant smashes it on their own forehead. Whoever smashes 2 raw eggs on their forehead first loses the game.

Important Logistics:

  1. Fundraising envelopes (and online donations) can be turned in anytime between Wednesday, May 11th and Wednesday, May 18th. Any donations received AFTER May 18th will not be counted towards the prize totals.
  2. Envelopes will not be given back to the students once they are turned in, so make sure your donations are complete or you will have to send in any additional donations in a regular envelope marked with your child’s name, teacher and grade.
  3. Please check our Facebook page daily to see the progress of classroom goals and the overall school goal. You can find our group on Facebook under the name Stillwater Elementary PTSA.
  4. While corporate matching is an integral part of our fundraising strategy plan, because we do not receive the matching funds until well after the event is over, we do not count promised corporate matching funds towards the top earner numbers, classroom or school goals.

When your sponsors ask what the donations will be used for, you can use the information below to tell them about all the activities that the PTSA provides to Stillwater.

A full breakdown of our budget and fundraising strategy was sent out at the beginning of the year in kidmail. It can also be found online at http://stillwaterptsa.org/ptsa-budget/. We legally cannot list specifically what the money will be used for as we are fundraising to support an entire budget, and the budget is over 70 items long. Therefore, the message is that we are fundraising for the PTSA and here are just some of the programs we support and fund at Stillwater:

  • Art Docent
  • Assemblies
  • Library, PE and Music Enrichment
  • Family Fun Nights
  • Field Trip Stipends for ALL Grades
  • The Dance Guy and School Dance
  • Playground Enhancements
  • School/Staff Grants
