Help Wanted! Open PTSA Positions for the 2026-2027 School Year
We’re excited to build our team for the upcoming school year! The Stillwater PTSA has 2 Board Positions and 4 Leadership Team Positions available. Board members attend monthly board meetings and serve as part of the governing body for the Stillwater PTSA organization. Leadership Team members own their specific area of responsibility and liaise with a board member to provide updates and receive direction from the board.

Board Positions
Membership
The Membership Board Member coordinates our year-round membership drive, maintaining a presence at all school events and actively seeking out the Stillwater community for new memberships. This role manages all membership forms, dues, and tracking, maintains the official PTSA membership list, and verifies state invoices for payment. The Membership lead also coordinates the Kindergarten Play Date before the school year begins, oversees hospitality at General Meetings, and maintains a “Welcome Packet” for new families in the front office. This position attends all Board and General Meetings and provides monthly newsletter updates on membership counts and news.
Fundraising
Fundraising is one of the most integral roles in our PTSA. Without it, we simply cannot gift money back to the school each year for the things that make Stillwater special — classroom supplies, field trips, art supplies, library resources, PE equipment, teacher grants and more! This year, we’d like to change our fundraising model based on feedback from the community and staff. Our two large donation-based fundraisers (Hop-a-Thon and Hawk Walk) will ideally be combined into one fundraiser run by a third-party company. We need someone to own this initiative and research third-party fundraising companies to find the right fit for our school. The Fundraising Board Member coordinates all PTSA fundraising activities, from major events to ongoing programs. This role works with the Treasurer and President to set fundraising goals based on budgetary needs, provides daily status reports to administration and the executive board during active fundraisers, and ensures proper record-keeping in accordance with IRS laws. The Fundraising lead also provides receipts to donating businesses and communicates year-round “smaller” fundraising opportunities to the Stillwater community. This position attends all Board and General Meetings and provides monthly newsletter updates on fundraising progress. If availability for board meetings is a blocker, this position could be moved to the Leadership Team.
Leadership Team Positions
Reflections
The Reflections Chair owns the Reflections program at Stillwater, with the added benefit of creative support from our wonderful art teacher, Mrs. Carosino. This role organizes the Reflections contest by gathering promotion materials from WA State PTA, working with the Communications Chair to advertise the contest, and collaborating with Mrs. Carosino to plan knowledge-sharing sessions with students. The Reflections Chair also manages artwork intake, communicates with parents when issues arise, and helps celebrate our artists at Stillwater. This position attends liaises with a board member for updates.
Spring Break Online Contest
The Spring Break Online Contest Chair coordinates a fun online contest over Spring Break to keep families engaged. In previous years, we’ve hosted Nailed It baking competitions and LEGO contests (e.g., build the tallest tower). This role puts together the contest rules, works with the Communications Chair to advertise, solicits judges and awards winning students. This is a short-term, high-impact position perfect for someone who wants to contribute a burst of energy and creativity. This position liaises with a board member for updates.
Communications Lead Volunteers
The Communications Lead Volunteers support the Communications Chair in keeping our Stillwater community informed and engaged. This role helps create posters, draft newsletters, and/or update social media. This is a great position for someone who enjoys creative work and wants to contribute without owning an entire program. These volunteers liaise with the Communications Chair for direction and priorities.
