Stillwater PTSA Hula-Hop-Hooping a Thon Details
When: Thursday, October 12th during specialist class time
Where: Stillwater Playground
Who: All Stillwater Hawks
What: The Hoop-Hop-Hooping A Thon is a 100% Donation Based Fundraiser, all profits raised go directly to the PTSA to benefit our students and school. We will be hula hooping, jumping rope, and shooting hoops!
Goal: The suggested minimum fundraising goal per student is $25. The school goal is $11,000! We can do it! We made over $24,000 last year during the Hop-a-Thon!
The FUN in Fundraising – the Prizes!!!!
- Every classroom has been assigned a class goal based off of the number of kids in each class. Please see the reverse side for your student(s) classroom goal or visit https://stillwaterptsa.org/hulahophooping/. Every class that reaches their goal will be rewarded with ice cream sandwiches.
- The top 2 earners per grade will be invited to a breakfast with the principal event where Mr. Madigan will serve them a tasty hot breakfast with games.
- Every student that raises $25 or more will be entered into a drawing on Tuesday, October 20th to win prizes.
- And last but certainly not least…if the school hits the $11,000 goal. Madigan and five teachers will be partnered with four randomly drawn students each and participate in a relay race against each other! (12 students total) We will attempt to draw one student from K-1 Grade, 2-3 Grade, and 4-5 grade to balance out teams. Teachers will start by knocking over water bottles with stockings attached to their heads with tennis balls, 2nd/3rd would be pulling tissue out one by one till the box is empty, 4/5 will be filling balloons with air and try to blow over empty cups, and K/1 will dig through ping pong balls to find gloves, nose, scarf, and hat for a human snowman for the end. The staff will be waiting at the end of the relay and all the kids will get a chance to cover them up in toilet paper and put all snowmen accessories on them the k/1 found. First team to finish, wins!
- If the school HITS $20,000, Mr. Madigan, Mrs. Walters, and Mrs. Cutter will play Sticky Icky War! A game where the teachers will be sprayed with a sticky substance and play war. Who ever loses will get fanned with feathers, glitter, or other fun items! Think Home Alone ????
- Last but not least, If the 4/5 grade teams all hit their classroom goals, our Art Teacher Mrs. Slayton will allow the classes to pick a color to dye her hair!
***Sign-up forms will be made available online and in the front office on October 13th. They will be due TUESDAY, October 17th by 4pm. Winners will be announced Tuesday Evening, parents/guardians will need to confirm participation.
