What’s with the Raffle this year?
In previous years, the first 2 weeks of school, families were donating items towards raffle baskets, the PTSA then built the raffle baskets and the raffle occurred at the Back to School BBQ. After receiving a lot of feedback that it’s a busy/costly time of year to have something else added to the plate, we decided to move the raffle to our fall event, Turkey Bingo. However, we wanted to give families plenty of time/notice to contribute and the PTSA plenty of time to build the baskets. So we decided to try something new at the Back to School BBQ, display the suggested raffle basket donation items on tags that families can take home – their pledge/reminder to donate that item. Think of a giving tree that you see at stores during the holiday season. For example, Dr. F’s class theme is Pets. At the Raffle area of the BBQ, you will see a section for Dr. F and in that section you’ll find tags that say things like: dog bed, dog toys, dog collar, etc… A family will look over their classes tags, choose the one they like, take it off the wall and fill out a short form to give to the PTSA so we can keep track of the tags (but the family takes home the tag).
Since not everyone goes to the BBQ, afterwards we will build an online sign-up with the tags that did not get claimed. We will post the link to that sign-up on this page after the BBQ (see link below). Let me also note that again this year the PTSA can do the shopping for you if you prefer to donate funds towards your class’ basket vs donating an actual item. Thank you for those that have already donated funds! All physical items and cash/check donations are due by Monday, October 17th. All teachers will have a bin in their classroom to collect the donations. If you send in an item, please just attach a note that it’s a raffle donation. If you send in a cash/check donation please make sure you put it in an envelope marked Stillwater PTSA Raffle but also say your child and teachers name on the envelope (or inside) so we know where to assign the funds.
At Turkey Bingo, all 19 baskets will be on display and raffle tickets available for purchase. We can ONLY sell the raffle tickets at Turkey Bingo. The class that has the most tickets purchased for their basket will win an Italian Soda party!

The link has physical items only, they are organized by class. You still have the option to send in a cash/check donation for the raffle and the PTSA can do the shopping for you. Checks can be written out to Stillwater Elementary PTSA. Please put the donation inside an envelope marked with your student and teachers names.
There is a collection bin in each of the classrooms for the raffle item donations (cash/check donations have to be brought to the front office for processing). All donations are due by October 17th.
*Once we are notified that a parent has signed up for an item, we will send home the corresponding raffle tag (that was on display at the BBQ) with your student as a reminder.
