Vice President
- Attend all Board and General Meetings.
- Attend PTA and the Law each year. Attend other trainings offered through Region, State, etc as necessary.
- Assist in identifying activity and committee chairs, for those activities under your area of responsibility.
- Provide monthly newsletter items to keep membership informed of your area of responsibility (ie, volunteer needs, VOM, etc).
- Ensure each activity chairperson/volunteer is trained for their specific area of responsibility and has whatever resources he/she needs to work effectively.
- Provide either written or oral reports/progress updates of all committees at Board and General Meetings as necessary.
- Perform duties in absence of President.
- Assist President as called upon.
- Act as Volunteer Coordinator: Create a volunteer sign up form, coordinate with board members and volunteers to cover all events and programs. Contact each person who signs up for any volunteer position. Send thank you cards to all volunteers. Cards need to be signed by President, Vice President, and Board Member associated with volunteer position. Coordinate the Volunteer of the Month program with assistance of teachers/staff. Arrange for an end of year Volunteer Appreciation event.
- Work with school to ensure all Volunteers have current Criminal Background Checks.
- Research, identify and write appropriate grants for PTSA programs.
