Volunteer Opportunities Details

Kid Mail: Tuesday afternoons for approx. 30 min, help assemble packets of flyers and newsletters to be distributed to teachers.

Reader Board: Update Reader Board weekly (Friday afternoon) to reflect current school events and information for Stillwater Families.

Posters/flyers: Make posters as needed. A fun way to get involved and can be done at school or home any time prior to the school events.

Art Docent: Volunteers teach art projects based on existing lesson plans to their child’s class, which includes set-up and cleanup. In person training and online videos are available for each lesson.

Photographer for Yearbook: Help with taking pictures at events, in classroom and where needed. Popcorn: Make and/or sell popcorn the first Wednesday of each month, during last recess. Hearing/Vision Test & Picture Day: Help direct students to necessary locations within the school.

Fundraising – Walk-a-Thon and Hop-a-thon: Need one lead volunteer to plan and execute the activities the day of the fundraiser. Duties will include but not be limited to: making a schedule for the day and corresponding activities, coordinating volunteers and staff help, distributing prizes, setup and cleanup. Another lead volunteer would be in charge of counting for the fundraiser, counting is done every day, a week prior to the event and 2-3 people are needed for each counting session.

Reflections: Help judge entries, display projects and help on Gala Night. Gala Night is in November. Winter Wonderland Craft Fair: Help plan, decorate, setup/take down, work at food tables and sell tickets. (10)

Talent Show: Will need volunteers the day of the event to help the lead volunteers. Help backstage or direct children to the stage. (5)

Valentine’s Bingo & Silent Auction: Help plan, decorate, setup/take down, help at food tables and sell tickets. (10)

Dads & Donuts (before school): The day of the event will need volunteers to help set up, serve and/ or breakdown event. (5)

Mom & Me: (evening): The day of the event will need volunteers to help set up, serve and / or breakdown event. Looking preferably for Dads, Uncles, Grandpas etc.(5)

Spring Dance: Help plan, decorate, set up/take down and sell tickets, concessions and glow packages. (10)

Staff Appreciation Week: We celebrate both classified and certified staff. Be a part of the Staff Appreciation committee that helps plan and organize the event OR choose to volunteer for just the week of the event by setting up and/or breaking down daily events. (10)

Game Night & Book Exchange: Help plan event, setup/take down, collect and organize books. (5) Pottery Paint Nights: Help setup/take down, help handing out pottery and paint. (10)

Book Fair: Help setup, cashier and breakdown the book fair. This is NOT a PTSA event. This event runs a whole week in November.

Field Day: Volunteers to help with certain field day activities. Help provide and/or distribute treats to students (30). This is NOT a PTSA event but we partner with the school to make this a successful event for the kids.

Running of the Balls: Fundraiser held at Duvall Days at the beginning of June. Help the committee plan, organize and work our booth the day of the event. (10)
