Outstanding Advocate Award 2014: Brandi Painter
We had the honor of presenting the wonderful Brandi Painter with the Outstanding Advocate Award at the final PTSA meeting of 2014.
Brandi Painter is well deserving of the Outstanding Advocate award. Stillwater is lucky to be the recipient of Brandi’s valuable skill-set, experience and dedication as a volunteer.
She gives to our community in many ways, committed to making it a better place, especially for kids! She is a grant writer at Hopelink and donates countless hours as the Interim Director at the Northwest Arts Center in Duvall. She is committed to promoting the value of “the arts” in our lives, supporting local artists and making art accessible and available for kids.
At Stillwater, Brandi teamed with Alison Hawkins to organize and celebrate the PTSA Reflections program. She outlined lofty goals to make PTSA Reflections a sparkling success this year. It was important to Brandi that each and every student artist who entered Reflections was recognized and celebrated for their efforts. She also made Reflections as accessible to all kids as possible (even providing a free open house with supplies for kids at the NW arts center and donating matting materials for each visual art submission so each would be presented on a level playing field.) The Reflections ceremony this year was a successful event celebrating Stillwater artists with live music, food, art displays, awards and recognition.
Brandi is most comfortable behind the scenes and stealthily provided assistance in other areas at Stillwater. For example, she donated her fundraising experience and skills to help strategize and formulate the ordering process behind the successful Stillwater Plant Sale. Her time and experience are much appreciated!
