Classroom Goals for Hawk Walk 2020

On Wednesday, March 25th at 2pm all Stillwater students will participate in the PTSA’s second largest fundraiser of the year, the Hawk Walk. The success and participation from all students for our fundraisers is imperative to keep PTSA programs and events in place each year. This is a 100% donation based fundraiser, we are not asking students to sell items. Students will have fun walking around the track for an hour towards the end of the school day on March 25th after collecting donations from sponsors. Sponsors can include friends, family, neighbors and other community members. Students record and collect all donations on this fundraising envelope and return to Stillwater by 4 PM on March 25th. Online Donations can also be made until March 25th online. Students, be sure to check and see if your sponsor works for a company that will match their donation. All donations are tax deductible!!! Your check or online donation confirmation email would be your receipt for tax purposes. If you donate cash and require a receipt please email fundraising@stillwaterptsa.org. The suggested minimum fundraising goal per student is $35.

Each class has been given a goal for the Hawk Walk based off of the total number of students in each class. If the class hits their goal, they will win a Snow Cone Party, the date will be coordinated with the teacher. Below is the complete list of classroom goals. Please note that special consideration will be made for those students that go above and beyond but the class still does not hit the goal.

Classroom Goal Calculation:
Our goal is for the school to exceed $13,000, which makes the goal per student approximately $25. All classroom goals were set taking the number of kids in each class and multiplying by $25. On the fundraising collection envelope, it is listed that the suggested minimum fundraising goal per student is $35, this allows us to account for the impact of historical participation rates. During the Hawk Walk last year, our participation rate was about 61%. With a $35 minimum fundraising goal per student, that is planning closer to an 71% participation rate. Which we realize is above our actual participation rate from last year, but we are working towards encouraging more students to participate and those students who compete for the top earners help us reach our goal as well.
