Comments Welcome on State’s Federal Education Draft Plan

The federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) passed in December 2015 requires every state to submit a Consolidated Plan to the U.S. Department of Education. The Washington State Superintendent of Public Instruction Chris Reykdal will submit Washington’s plan on Sept. 18. The public’s chance to provide comments on Washington’s state second draft of its education plan began Aug. 7 and the 30-day comment period will end Sept. 5.
