December Volunteer of the Month – Kirsten Lewis

Kirsten was nominated by Monique Linz and Amy Pitt, in addition to being voted on by the PTSA Board of Directors. Here is what Monique and Amy had to say about Kirsten.

Per Monique, “I nominate Kirsten Lewis for her help on Pottery Night. She came by the book fair to do something and noticed we were shorthanded and ended up staying and helping the entire night and she didn’t even have her kids there! They were home sick so they couldn’t come but she came for a quick errand and ended up helping out anyways passing out paint and cleaning up. Thank you so much for your help Kirsten!

Per Amy, “Kirsten is great and always making a special effort to help other people. She stopped by Pottery night while we were setting up and offered to help after her teacher conference. After everything was setup and Pottery night started, she decided to stick around since we were short on volunteers and ran the paint table all night. Of course, after the event she stayed to help clean up as well. Thank you, Kirsten, for all that you do!”

Kirsten and her husband, Jason, have two children, Jaedon age 7 and Kaeleigh age 2 ½.

Kirsten has been volunteering at Stillwater for two years and she really enjoys volunteering for the various events as they bring our community together for our kids. When we asked Kirsten why she volunteers, she said, “Being involved in as much of my kid’s lives was a must for me. Watching the kiddos excitement at each event when they come in is my favorite part and I love giving back to the school and community. The PTSA ladies I get to work side-by-side with are a huge bonus.” When she isn’t volunteering, she loves spending time with her family, friends, taking photographs, and going on adventures! She is always up for anything.

Thank you, Kirsten, for all that you do to support Stillwater and our community!! Congrats on your nomination and win!

We would also like to congratulate and thank Zoe Anderson who was also nominated for volunteer of the month.
