January Volunteer of the Month – Erin Morris
Erin was nominated by Lindsey Tolson, in addition to being voted on by the PTSA Board of Directors. Here is what Lindsey had to say about Erin.
Per Lindsey, “Erin was our directory lead and she put A LOT of hours into creating and printing the directory with very little oversight. The prior directory lead had moved onto Tolt, so Erin had limited instruction to go off of, but she picked it up and ran with it. She researched all the options, did the key entry, created a rough draft for members to review, did several revisions and edits, coordinated with advertisers, printed the directory, labeled each of them and got them to the teachers for distribution. It’s a BIG job and we so appreciate her time and efforts! Thank you, Erin!!!”
Erin and her husband, Sean, have three children, Tristan age 13, Adaly age 6 and Kieran age 4.
Erin has been volunteering at Stillwater for two years and her favorite volunteer activity at Stillwater so far has been Bingo Night. When she isn’t volunteering, she spends time with her family outdoors, being on or near the water in the summer, crabbing, boating, hanging at a beach or swimming in a lake. In winter I enjoy skiing and playing in the mountains. When we asked Erin why she volunteers, she said, “I’ve always loved to give back to my community. In the past I’ve volunteered throughout the Red Cross, at a Pediatric Oncology camp, and now at Stillwater! I love volunteering at Stillwater so that I get to see my daughter’s school life and her friends and meet other families in my area. I believe in community and look for volunteer opportunities that are close to home.”
Thank you, Erin, for all that you do to support Stillwater and our community!! Congrats on your nomination and win!
We would also like to congratulate and thank Carmen Love, Danielle Gilbreath, and GhostStar Morgan who were also nominated for volunteer of the month.
