September Featured Volunteer of the Month: Robin Lawson
Congratulations Robin! She was nominated by Lindsey Tolson and voted by the PTSA Executive Board as our September Volunteer of the Month. This is what Lindsey had to say about Robin, “Before volunteer forms were even collected or school started, Robin stepped up to help us with our beginning of year poster needs. She turned Mr. Madigan into your Cat in the Hat for the front hallway display. She used her artistic skills to create two elaborate posters for the BBQ and she has already started working on the very huge and detail oriented tracking poster for the Hop-a-Thon. Her talents and willingness to help is a huge asset, we are constantly complimented from the staff and parents on how great our posters are. Thank you Robin!”
Robin has two boys at Stillwater, Trevor is in 3rd grade and Jared is in 1st grade. This is her 2nd year volunteering for Stillwater and is looking forward to all the fun events we have scheduled this year. She said her favorite activities to volunteer for are the hop-a-thon and walk-a-thon.
She worked in the insurance industry for 19 years and is currently a substitute EA for the Riverview School District. Besides being very artistic, Robin enjoys to bake, cook, go for bike rides or hiking with her family and go camping. If you are in need of an awesome sign or just want to say thank you to Robin, her favorite snack is chocolate covered gummy bears. If you see her in the hallway make sure to congratulate her and say, “Thank you”. Congratulations to the other September nominees, Lisa Cardenas and Jen Coffey.
